After spending a couple of weeks *recovering* from the Christmas and New Years festivities we finally got our butts in gear and started ploughing through ICC 10. Only 3 bosses stand in our way before we meet the almighty, much talked about Lich King and we're super excited! We're gonna slay that guy hard, take pictures, then once we're done, we're going to grab another 15 people and work harder on finishing up ICC 25. Yeah... we really want this guy gone. The King is dead, long live Cataclysm!
As you can see our old friend Algalon finally bit the dust after a week, well an hour, of attempts and we couldn't be happier! Especially me! "Starcaller Squishey" ftw! (Although I'm told that Starcaller Beardewd begs to differ)
And yet again we're recruiting! We have spots open for a very special Elemental Shaman, Mage, Holy Priest and Protadin... And even if you're not one of those apply anyway, if you have a sense of humor and want to have a laugh while raiding then you never know!

Tis the season to kill bosses, falalalala la la la laaaaaaaaaaa.
Spirits are high here at DO HQ, and not just the Christmas ones! (mostly vodka in case you wish to *donate*)
We've been busy little bunnies since last update... Clearing new content (ICC in 10 & 25 mode <3), clearing old content (TotGC 10 man *finally* cleared after many many many wipes), completeing achievements we've been putting off for months *cough* Glory of the Hero *cough* and generally having a good time in game. We know srs bsns, but we'd rather have fun.
Many thanks to everyone above who came for our first annual (if I remember next year) Christmas photo. We had a laugh in Orgrimmar drinking and attempting to pose next to Santa, strangely the sight of 10 people all wearing festive outfits (aside from Panicore, our resident naked orc) brought out the trolls and their mamoth mounts... Can't think why! . Luckily I managed to give him my entire Christmas wish list before his elves kicked us out:

So it's been a bit of a busy time here at DO HQ, we've been working our socks off trying to get rusted protodrakes - and of course working through hard modes to kill that infamous bad guy Algalon. Algie, baby, I promise we'll make it quick if you just give me that goddamn Starcaller title!
Then of course there's the Coliseum. Our valiant raiders have fought many battles there, including clearing ToC 10, and reaching a magnificent 4/5 in TotGC and ToC25. As you can see from our amazingly well posed picture above, we had a some *interesting times* (well, what else do you expect from an Orc wearing a pink dress and a sombrero? ) If you want a totally hardcore srs busnss guild then we're probably not for you... But if you want to make some friends, kill some bosses and have a few laughs along the way then maybe we can work something out.

Well it took a tad longer than we were expecting, but if anyone asks we'll blame the summer slump (and some of our healers actually wanting to take a vacation!) but that ol' murderous pita bread is dead and done with. Huzzah! Let the peasants rejoice! Except, not of course as there's a whole new place full of things that want to turn our beloved heroes into mush. Luckily for us we've already cleared the coliseum in normal mode, so Algie baby, you're on notice! I think Starcaller Squishey sounds particularly distinguished
Congrats again to all our raiders you make DO what it is, and it's been a hell of a lot of fun killing things with you guys. So here's to the future!

We've been taking it easy recently, only 2 more bosses down in Ulduar heroic, which leaves us at a nice tidy 7/14 (With two whole shard of Vala'nyr! *gasp) before the Colliseum is released for us to frolic around in. Instead of raiding we've started playing around in battlegrounds and Wintergrasp. There's nothing more amusing than listening to guildies get brutally murdered on vent. Well, unless you're the healer of course...
And, of course summer is well and truly upon us and long evenings sitting outside a bar with a cold beer are looking more and more tempting... *insert something about joining the guild here* ...ah frack it, I'm off to find me a nice empty bar stool.

Well, ok I admit it. I'm not very hot on the whole 'updating the news page' thing. If it's any excuse I've been crazy busy and my ghoul is just so demanding! In the mean time the Dark Origin machine has been going strong. Welcome to our new members *waves* I do hope you haven't been mentally scarred since joining us... I blame the original DO crew, bad influences the lot of them.
We've been hitting Ulduar hard standing at 12/14 normal and 5/14 heroic. Not bad for a non-hardcore, penis-joke-making-while-raiding, friendly guild! Though now the summer slump is heading for us fast progress is likely to slow down... unless... well... You might want to join? Give it some thought and post on our forums! We can offer ninja bunny girls (I kid you not!) and interesting times while not raiding...
...Who could want more?

Since 3.1 we've been busy little raiders, and after three weeks in we're 10/14 in Ulduar Normal, which we're quite proud of. As you can tell there hasn't been much work done on the site since then, we claim that it's due to us spending too much time fishing for feasts and doing dailies for repair fees but if you /who Dark Origin you'll find most of us hanging out at the Argent Tournament, competing for titles, pets and tabards or lazing around in Dalaran. Really, we will get it finished, but until then you're welcome to join us on the forums to chat about server gossip and... just about anything else you'd hear on our vent.
We're still recruiting for Ulduar Heroic and beyond, so if you're a Mage, Warlock, Rogue, Hunter, Shadow priest, Boomkin then consider joining our friendly raiding crew, just stick an ap on the forums or poke Squishey, Tomight, Beardewd, Mwahaha or Hobopimp in game.

This site is currently a WORK IN PROGRESS but will be our showcase where you can find information about us, our raid progress, screenshots, recommended add ons and the scary thoughts of our guildies...
We are (of course!) open also to new applications. We require a good knowledge of your class, understanding of speaking and typing English, ventrillo and passion to learn encounters with us. We try and set ourselves aside from other guilds by requiring that the player behind the character fits in with our community (as well as turning up to raids!) so that we can work together and progress in a drama free environment.
